to speak on the collaboration with VTF and the city of Denver's SEEDS Initative
to build a greenhouse at 24th and Tremont

Reon Schutte has led a remarkable life. His hard-won wisdom provides universal lessons applicable for anyone wishing to lead a more fulfilling, productive, successful life free of blame, fear or regret. Click here for a preview of Reon's speech.
In his presentation, Reon outlines his personal life journey from an economically impoverished childhood in South Africa to 18 years of service in his country’s military, where he rose to the rank of colonel and elite Special Forces soldier, to his capture in Zimbabwe and subsequent 12 years eight months as a prisoner of war in one of Africa’s most horrific prisons. He was released in 2004...only to find that life’s hardships weren’t over, but just beginning in a whole new way.
In Zimbabwe’s Chikurubi prison, Reon had a series of revelations that caused him to first question his beliefs and perceptions, then to change his perspective, attitude and reactions, and eventually to transform his experience of imprisonment to a state of freedom, even while incarcerated. The key, Reon discovered, is Choice, a powerful tool that every human has access to at every moment.
Upon his release and discovery that life had more twists of fate in store for him, Reon realized that what he came to understand in Chikurubi was as effective for freeing a person imprisoned in their own heart or mind or by personal circumstances as it was for freeing an individual soul even while physically locked in a jail. It was then that he came to know his life mission: to take everything he had learned through the most extreme of circumstances, and share it with all human beings, everywhere.
Reon has distilled his revelations into 10 Principle Teachings that he illustrates clearly with his own real-life, first-hand experience as example. The 10 Principle Teachings are guideposts for each of us to use to break out of our personal prisons and achieve our own personal freedom.

To return the family farm to a prominent position on the American landscape.
Mission
To provide post 9/11 American veterans with pride, education and fulfillment through a permanent source of sustainable income, community and contribution: The family farm.
A Central Farm, operated by Circle Fresh Farms, Inc., provides a physical location for training in business planning, hydroponic organic growing methods, and greenhouse maintenance and construction. The Central Farm also supplies plant seedlings to Satellite Farms and markets and sells the crops grown at the Satellite Farms.
Veterans will be taught how to build environmentally controlled greenhouses of uniform size and design that utilize methods of high-tech, controlled environment crop culture. The greenhouses will protect crops from rain, snow, heat, cold, wind and insects thus named Controlled Environment Agriculture. Ongoing maintenance and consulting on optimizing the greenhouse is provided through the CFF.
Each Satellite Farm has a greenhouse and a family residence. The business model even provides an exit strategy so that Veterans can sell their business in the future through the network. This is unique in the farming world.
